The Labour Court recommended that Thorntons PLC carry out a fresh, independent management investigation into a worker’s bullying complaints, with an appeal available if she remained dissatisfied. The recommendation was signed on 18 May 2012. Thorntons said it had fully investigated the complaint and found it unproven; the worker said the investigation was unfair and sought a new one. The parties agreed to a fresh investigation under the company’s Dignity at Work Policy, and the Court urged that the worker be allowed assistance from her representative.
