The Labour Court did not recommend conceding Unite the Union’s claims against Utility Operation & Maintenance Service Limited for payment of the second Towards 2016 module, outstanding and recalculated performance bonuses, and an end to the pay freeze. The recommendation was signed on 31 March 2014. The Court recommended that the parties identify any concessions made to ESB staff in return for relevant agreements, and then provide equivalent or pro-rata concessions to those associated with the claims. The company said five of its 36 seconded employees had already incurred pay reductions of up to 17%.
