Labour Court cannot assess five workers’ extra annual-leave claim during Haddington Road Agreement

Labour Court ·

The Labour Court said it could not express a view on a claim by SIPTU/IMPACT for five Day Project Workers at Dublin City Council to receive four extra days of annual leave, because the claim could not be processed under the Haddington Road Agreement. The Court signed its recommendation on 16 April 2014. The Court noted that the workers had not pursued the leave issue for about five years after signing their contracts, while also noting that the Council generally set conditions, including annual leave, by grade. It recommended accordingly.
