Labour Court says HSE West should have consulted unions before St Brigid’s closure

By Tadhg O'Sullivan

Labour Court ·

The Labour Court found that HSE West should have consulted the relevant unions before deciding to close St Brigid's, as required by the Consultation Agreement. It recommended that management take steps to comply with the agreement on future decisions. The recommendation was signed on 20 October 2014. PNA said HSE West had made the closure decision without prior discussion or consultation with staff. HSE West said the closure followed government policy and that it had engaged with affected staff.
