The Labour Court did not recommend conceding the Irish Municipal, Public and Civil Trade Union's claim against Dublin City Council for an 18-month continuation of acting-up allowance after an acting worker lost a competition for the substantive post. The Court said a national agreement on long-term acting vacancies made no provision for compensation for workers unsuccessful in competitions. It found Dublin City Council was complying with that agreement. The recommendation was dated 28 May 2015.
