The Labour Court set aside a €7,000 compensation recommendation in a dispute between Donegal County Council and a worker over workplace relations at a fire station. Both sides appealed. The Court recommended that the worker use the council's grievance procedures and that the council consult staff and representatives about reviewing employment relations at the station. It said the worker had not used the available procedures, which would have given the council an opportunity to address the concerns. The decision was signed on 7 June 2016.
