The Labour Court recommended that Roscommon County Council open from 9.15am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday, including lunchtime, with flexitime from 8.30am to 6.30pm. The recommendation, dated 25 August 2016, followed a dispute with IMPACT Trade Union over flexitime and worksharing arrangements. The Court recommended that staff up to Grade VII could build flexi leave. It also recommended that the union accept the nationally agreed worksharing arrangements as each current arrangement expires. Staff with medically certified exceptional circumstances limiting their ability to work those arrangements should be accommodated individually, without access to flexitime.
