The Labour Court recommended that the Technical, Engineering And Electrical Union accept The Intolligent Ltd’s 2016 proposal in a dispute over on-call allowances, call-out pay, historic hours and pay harmonisation. The recommendation was signed on 5 October 2017. The proposal included an allowance equivalent to eight hours’ basic pay for each week on call, revised call-out rates and a one-off payment of €5,000 per worker, plus adjusted historic hours as time off in lieu. The union had sought a larger on-call allowance, higher call-out payments and harmonised pay for three maintenance technicians. The company said the workers had different roles and contracts and disputed that it owed payment for remote login time.
