The Labour Court recommended that Coca Cola Hellenic apply half of the 2017 pay increase for nine workers as a pay rise and pay the other half as a lump sum. The recommendation was signed on 14 May 2018. The Group of Workers, represented by the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union, sought the applicable increase, backdated to 1 May 2017, for workers at or above the top of their pay bands. Coca Cola Hellenic, represented by the Irish Business and Employers' Confederation, proposed paying the increase as a lump sum, as it had done previously. The dispute concerned only how the 2017 agreement applied to those nine workers.
