The Labour Court upheld a ruling that Patrick McCormack’s minimum notice complaint against Kilclooney Plant Hire was not well founded, after finding that he left his job voluntarily. The determination was signed on 4 July 2023. McCormack said that after he was put on a three-day week, the employer took back the van he used to get to work, leaving him without a way to travel and leading him to believe his job was gone. The employer said work remained available and that McCormack stopped attending after securing another job.
