The Labour Court allowed Grant Engineering (Ireland) Unlimited Company’s appeal in a pay dispute with Danny Kearns, setting aside the Adjudication Officer’s decision. The decision is dated 17 June 2024. Kearns said he was owed an extra €5.92 for testing work in the welding area on 7 October 2022. The company said the additional payment applied only when a worker was assigned to testing for a full week. The Court found Kearns had not established that the extra payment was properly payable.
