The Labour Court awarded Elsayed Alishehata €1,792 compensation against Chimeway Limited (In Liquidation) in his unfair dismissal appeal. Its decision was signed on 6 June 2025. Alishehata said his hours fell from about 40 a week to 28, then to zero, while the company delayed addressing his grievances. The Court found he reasonably ended his employment after receiving another job offer, given the delay and the unilateral cuts to his hours. It found he had no substantial loss and calculated compensation as four weeks’ pay based on 28 hours a week at €16 per hour.
