Leitrim Village's public week sits around St Josephs, the school, the pump and the canal. St Josephs Community Centre has a Creative Youth workshop on Monday 13 July 2026 from 2pm to 5pm for ages 11 to 17, while Cruinniu na nOg placed the 1000 Leaves flipbook animation workshop at St Josephs NS on 6 June. Tidy Towns meets from 8pm to 9pm on Mondays and Wednesdays at the village pump under the big chestnut tree at the Keadue Road junction, and a recent call asked people to join a Monday and Wednesday evening weed blitz. The first Corpus Christi procession took place on Sunday 7 June 2026 after 10.15 Mass and was described in public village notes as a community day to remember. A weekly walk met at Drumhierney Car Park on Friday 5 June at 11am, with short local walks led by a trained Walk Leader and no charge to join. The same local notice run shared nearby caregiver arts, women's soccer, ladies golf and Garda recruitment notices, plus the small resolved village note of a friendly cat around Drumgaglome being back home. Parent-and-toddler activity, ICA, youth club, music sessions, the shop, takeaway, karate, canal activity and greenway interest sit beside those school, centre and pump routines.
