The Labour Court upheld a Rights Commissioner’s recommendation that Our Lady’s Hospital offer a worker £200 net as a goodwill gesture, if she accepted it in writing. The decision was signed on 12 June 2000, and the worker’s appeal failed. The worker said she had not resigned and wanted her job back after sick leave. The hospital said she had resigned by telephone and had confirmed that intention to a social worker.
