The Labour Court upheld a Rights Commissioner’s recommendation of £600 net compensation for a truck driver’s unfair dismissal. The Court signed its decision on 8 August 2000. The worker appealed the recommendation, which found that Sean Gartlen had dismissed him without using procedures. Gartlen said the worker failed to meet daily run targets and refused extra runs on the day he was dismissed. The Court said there was no reason to interfere with the recommendation and affirmed it.
