The Labour Court supported Cadbury Ireland Limited’s decision to issue a worker a final written warning, but recommended removing it from the worker’s record 21 months after it was issued. The decision was dated 4 December 2000. The Amalgamated Transport and General Workers’ Union argued the warning was harsh and that the worker had no prior complaints about his conduct. Cadbury said it had investigated the matter fairly and considered the warning the minimum sanction.
