The WRC found that a hospital worker was not unfairly dismissed after the hospital ended his probation over performance concerns. The recommendation was dated 29 June 2023. The worker alleged racist treatment and said his dismissal was unfair. The adjudicator found the manager’s evidence persuasive and concluded that he had exercised considered judgment in ending the employment. The recommendation asked both sides to recognise that no unfair dismissal had taken place.
