The Workplace Relations Commission dismissed Ion Tataru’s unfair dismissal complaint against Mace Technology (Ireland) Limited and found two related complaints not well founded. The decision was dated 4 July 2023. Tataru said he was dismissed after working on data centre cleaning projects and that he and colleagues were not paid for all hours worked or annual leave. Mace Technology argued it was not the correct respondent. The WRC found it was not Tataru’s direct employer or employer for the purposes of the Unfair Dismissals Act, and dismissed that complaint along with his complaints under the Terms of Employment (Information) Act and Organisation of Working Time Act.
