The Workplace Relations Commission found Eliza Pardo’s complaints against Copper Niti Limited failed after she did not attend a hearing. The decision was dated 8 June 2023; the merits were not decided. Pardo, a dental nurse, had alleged discrimination, victimisation, harassment and sexual harassment on gender and race grounds, as well as breaches of working-time rules. The company denied the allegations and said it complied with working-time requirements. The adjudicator said Pardo did not attend the hearing or provide grounds for her absence when invited to do so afterward. The equality case failed, and the working-time complaint was found not well founded, following her non-attendance.
