The Workplace Relations Commission found Virginia Linehan’s unfair dismissal complaint against Aer Lingus Limited not well founded. The decision, dated 14 July 2023, concerned her dismissal after an incident in the airline’s Hub Control Centre. The WRC found her conduct was unacceptable and that no medical condition was shown to explain or excuse it. It also identified flaws in the disciplinary process, but found they did not undermine the grounds for dismissal.
