The Workplace Relations Commission found Chadwicks Group failed to notify Brian Patton in writing when it changed his working hours. The decision was dated 1 June 2023. Patton said his start time was changed from 8am to 8.30am. The company said the change was made under a collective agreement to meet operational needs. The adjudicator found the company had not disputed failing to notify him in writing. The WRC required the company to update Patton’s statement of terms to reflect his hours from July 2021 and later changes, except changes disputed in a separate case. It also ordered one week’s remuneration; the decision gives no euro figure.
