Textile Recycling Limited must pay Martin Murray €500 after the Workplace Relations Commission found it failed to notify him that his job title had changed. The WRC decision was dated 21 June 2023. Murray brought three complaints under the Terms of Employment (Information) Act after the company told him his driver assistant role had ceased. He said he wanted to return to that work; the company said the role had ended and his contract allowed flexibility in his duties. The WRC found the company had provided the required statement of employment terms, but had not notified Murray of the change to his job title. It found that complaint well founded and awarded €500 compensation. The complaints about the statement of terms and core employment terms were not well founded; Murray had not requested a statement of core terms.
