The Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) found Robin Kelly’s complaint against The Roast House not well founded. Its decision was dated 7 June 2023. Kelly said he was owed €217 for hours worked and that he had been promised €16 an hour. The Roast House said he was paid for 60.5 hours at €15 an hour, with the higher rate to apply only after 30 days if his performance was satisfactory. The adjudicator found no evidence supporting the claimed €16 hourly-rate agreement. The payslip showed gross pay of €907.50 and net pay of €688.74. Kelly confirmed receiving bank payments of €342.76 and €346, and the WRC found no deductions beyond those provided for by statute.
