The Workplace Relations Commission found that Sarah Glynn was not entitled to a shift allowance after the Health Service Executive stopped paying it. The decision was dated 12 June 2023. Glynn, an EMT/paramedic, said her two weekend shifts started at 7.30am and relied on the 1978 Ambulance Agreement. The HSE relied on later criteria requiring a variation of at least four hours in starting times and a difference of at least 12 hours between the earliest and latest finishes. The officer found Glynn did not meet those criteria. The complaint was found not well founded and accordingly failed.
