The Workplace Relations Commission found that Debbie Brooks was not constructively dismissed by Irish Association For Social Inclusion Opportunities (Iasio), where she worked as a Resettlement Coordinator. The decision was dated 7 June 2023. Brooks said she faced bullying, exclusion and poor handling of workplace complaints, and felt compelled to resign. The organisation disputed that she had been dismissed. The adjudication officer found its behaviour was not unreasonable enough to justify her resignation. The officer also noted that Brooks had not used the grievance procedure before resigning and had not shown good cause for failing to do so.
