The Workplace Relations Commission declared Samantha Coote’s agency-work complaint against AIB Ltd not well founded after she did not attend the hearing or provide evidence in support of her claim; the merits were not decided. The decision was dated 24 July 2023. Coote had alleged that, as an agency worker, she did not receive the same basic working and employment conditions as a comparable worker. Neither she nor AIB attended the hearing, and the WRC said both parties had been properly notified. AIB had told the WRC that the complaint was outside the 12-month time limit and said it would not attend.
