The Workplace Relations Commission found Emma King’s annual leave and public holiday pay complaint against Music And Montessori Academies Ltd not well-founded. The decision was dated 13 July 2023. King said the school told her it was closing while she was on maternity leave and offered her work at its Maynooth premises, which she considered unsuitable. She claimed holiday pay had accrued during her maternity leave. The adjudication officer relied on King’s previously stated employment end date of 17 September 2021. The officer found no public holiday contravention in the period considered and no entitlement to annual leave pay after her employment ended.
