The Workplace Relations Commission found it had no jurisdiction to hear Mr David Healy’s fixed-term work complaint against Central Statistics Office - Cso because it was outside the time limit. The decision was dated 15 May 2024; the merits were not decided. Healy said software failures delayed census finalisation and left him unable to take other work, costing him a claimed €200–€300. The CSO argued the complaint was late and that he had not identified a comparable permanent employee.
