The WRC found two working-time complaints not well founded after an employee failed to attend the hearing or provide evidence. The merits were not decided. The WRC made no recommendation on the employee’s unfair-dismissal dispute and no finding on the race-discrimination complaint. The employee had alleged missed rest breaks, unpaid Sunday work, unfair dismissal and race discrimination. The employer attended and intended to defend the complaints. Adjudication officer Penelope McGrath dated the decision 15 May 2024.
