The Workplace Relations Commission found Fares Sabbagh’s discrimination complaint against Yahya Al Hussein was not well founded. The decision was dated 15 May 2024. Sabbagh had argued that he was employed by the Islamic Foundation of Ireland, which managed a mosque on South Circular Road in Dublin, until his redundancy in 2023. The respondent argued he had named the wrong party and that the foundation, rather than Al Hussein, was his employer. The adjudication officer found Sabbagh had been employed by the foundation, not Al Hussein, and dismissed the complaint on that preliminary point.
