The Workplace Relations Commission found that Mary Matthews had not established that any part of a collective agreement at Dundalk Institute Of Technology was null and void because of discrimination. The decision, dated 6 June 2024, concerned her claim under section 86 of the Employment Equality Act 1998. Matthews challenged the appointment of a person to an administrative and research role, saying the post had not been advertised. The adjudication officer said Matthews had not identified a collective agreement provision affected by discrimination. The officer also found that any separate discrimination complaint about the appointment was outside the time limit.
