The Workplace Relations Commission found Maureen Power left her job voluntarily and was not dismissed, rejecting her unfair-dismissal and minimum-notice complaints in a decision dated 30 May 2024. Power said she was dismissed in writing in May 2023. Garryowen Community Development Project said she had not accepted conditions for returning to work, including taking on a larger caseload and completing QQI Level 6 training. The adjudication officer found those requirements reasonable and concluded that Power left voluntarily. As she was not dismissed, she was not entitled to minimum-notice payment.
