The Workplace Relations Commission found part of Kieron Redmond’s wages complaint well-founded, ruling that Sulzer Pump Solutions Ltd unlawfully paid a 1.5% payment late. The €443.45 had already been repaid, so the WRC awarded no compensation. The decision was dated 18 June 2025. The WRC rejected Redmond’s complaints of constructive unfair dismissal, age discrimination and unequal pay, and penalisation under working-time law. It found the pay difference arose from his initial refusal of the Senior PDM Technician title and a colleague’s transfer and probation arrangements, rather than age. The employer denied the claims except for the wage shortfall.
