The Workplace Relations Commission rejected Vanda Brady’s constructive unfair dismissal complaint against Cavan Volunteer Centre CLG, finding it was not well founded. Adjudication Officer Andrew Heavey’s decision was dated 18 June 2025. Brady alleged the centre’s conduct left her no option but to resign, following concerns about political neutrality and a meeting she said amounted to a negative performance appraisal. The centre denied constructive dismissal and said it had acted appropriately. Heavey found the meeting was not a performance appraisal and that Brady should have used the centre’s internal grievance procedures before resigning.
