The Workplace Relations Commission found that Ainul Yaqin Mohamad Rozi was entitled to a statutory redundancy payment after her employer conceded her complaint. The decision, dated 26 June 2024, said the payment should be based on her employment dates and gross weekly pay. Rozi worked as an accountant for Frank Lafferty, trading as F. Lafferty & Co., from 15 June 2008 until her redundancy on 14 February 2023. She said she had been laid off, was not reengaged and had received no redundancy payment. Lafferty accepted the redundancy but said insolvency or lack of funds prevented payment.
