A driver won a €1,602.62 minimum notice award after the Workplace Relations Commission upheld his complaint against Teltrans Ltd. Adjudication Officer Emile Daly issued the decision, dated 26 June 2024. Pheilim Casey said he had not received redundancy pay or minimum notice after his employment ended. The company conceded both complaints but said it had ceased trading and could not pay the statutory entitlements. The WRC found the redundancy complaint well founded and said Casey was entitled to a payment based on his service, subject to the statutory weekly pay ceiling of €600. Casey withdrew a duplicate minimum notice complaint at the hearing.
