A WRC adjudication officer recommended that Security Force pay a worker €5,000 after finding that the final 14 months of delays in disciplinary proceedings were inappropriate and within the employer’s control. The recommendation was dated 26 June 2024. Most of the lengthy suspension coincided with a parallel investigation, for which the officer said the employer was not responsible. The officer also found that Security Force acted reasonably by treating disciplinary matters as outside its grievance procedure. The disciplinary panel made no findings against the worker.
