The Workplace Relations Commission dismissed Pierce Parker’s Equal Status complaint against Garry Smith of UCD Estate Services, finding it had no jurisdiction because the complaint named the wrong respondent. Adjudication Officer Eileen Campbell’s decision was dated 23 May 2025. Parker alleged discrimination, including over a failure to interview him for a position. Campbell found Smith was an employee of UCD, not a provider of goods or services in his own right, and that the complaint should have named the employer. The WRC did not decide the discrimination allegations.
