The Labour Court dismissed Delores Lenihan’s appeal after she failed to attend its hearing, leaving the Workplace Relations Commission’s decision in place. The determination was dated 16 May 2024. Lenihan had challenged findings that her disability discrimination complaints against Pfizer Ireland Pharmaceuticals Private Unlimited Company were not well founded. They concerned reasonable accommodation, victimisation, harassment and access to training. Pfizer attended with legal representatives and witnesses; Lenihan did not appear or respond to the Court’s attempts to contact her. The Court was satisfied she knew about the hearing and had no satisfactory explanation for her absence. The merits were not decided by the Labour Court.
