The WRC recommended that a healthcare provider pay a worker €850 over shortcomings in an internal investigation of his bullying grievance. The recommendation was dated 13 May 2024. The worker said the investigation failed to address an incident he described as spying on him in a bathroom. The adjudication officer found that aspect of the dispute was not well founded because the report had addressed the incident. However, the officer found the report did not clearly engage with some of the worker’s submissions and gave little explanation for some findings. The officer noted that the worker had transferred to another site and that the report was issued four years after most of the alleged incidents. The WRC recommended €850 in compensation.
