The Workplace Relations Commission found a café manager’s bullying and harassment dispute not well founded in a recommendation dated 19 July 2023. The worker said the owner sometimes made nasty comments and that she felt psychologically bullied. She could not give specific details and had not raised a grievance. The WRC said general assertions could not be investigated and found the dispute was without merit and not well founded. The employer did not attend the hearing, but the WRC found it had notice and sufficient opportunity to attend.
