The Labour Court recommended that Telus International ( Voxpro Ltd) pay a worker €4,000 in compensation after finding he was unfairly dismissed. The recommendation, dated 19 July 2023, said fair procedures had not been used in the decision to end his employment. The worker brought the dispute under section 20(1) of the Industrial Relations Act 1969 and agreed to be bound by the recommendation. The employer had notice of the virtual hearing but did not attend; the Court considered the worker’s uncontested submission.
