The WRC was unable to recommend in a worker’s favour in a dispute over a proposed transfer and alleged bullying. The recommendation, dated 29 May 2024, said her actions made it impossible for the employer to complete an investigation into her allegations. The worker said the move to a city-centre department would add at least two hours to her daily travel and affect her work-life balance and caring responsibilities. She also said management had not addressed her complaint or request for WRC mediation. The retail chain said it offered a grievance process and a dignity at work procedure, but the worker did not continue with the internal process.
