A WRC adjudication officer recommended that an employee and a local development company appoint an independent investigator to examine her grievances and seek a resolution to their employment relationship. The recommendation was dated 29 May 2024. The employee said she had faced bullying over sick leave, objections to new contractual terms and other workplace grievances. The company said it tried to investigate an earlier complaint but closed it after she did not provide further information it requested. The officer described the handling of the employee’s 2018 grievance as a “lost opportunity” and noted that her appeal over disallowed paid sick leave had been upheld. The recommendation called for the investigation to be completed within three months of its acceptance.
