The Labour Court recommended that MCT Retail Solutions Limited pay a worker €1,850 after finding she was dismissed without a disciplinary process. The recommendation was dated 11 July 2023. The worker had received a verbal warning after arriving late once, and was told there would be a follow-up review. She was later dismissed with a letter saying she was still on probation and was not a good fit. The Court found she had no opportunity to engage with her employer before the decision. The employer did not attend the hearing.
