The Labour Court dismissed Mr Soans Joseph Francis’s appeal over a minimum notice complaint after he missed a hearing on 23 May 2024. The decision, dated 11 June 2024, upheld the Adjudication Officer’s finding that the complaint was not well founded. Mr Soans worked as a Systems Development Specialist for Pramerica Systems Ireland from 17 June 2013 until his employment ended on 1 December 2020. He told the Court he could not attend and would only be available the following year, but did not apply for a postponement. The merits of the appeal were not decided.
