The Labour Court said Leon O’Connor’s unfair dismissal appeal must fail after he did not attend a hearing on 18 May 2023. It upheld the Adjudication Officer’s decision that the complaint was not well founded; the merits were not decided. The determination was dated 22 May 2023. The Court said it had notified O’Connor by email and post and attempted to reach him by telephone. It had received no request to postpone the hearing.
