The WRC found eight statutory complaints by a support worker were not well founded and an industrial relations complaint failed. The decision was dated 23 May 2023. The officer said the statutory complaints were outside time limits; he also found no evidence for several claims and no prima facie case for the equality and pension complaints. The complaints concerned Sunday work, wages, employment terms, disability discrimination, equal pay, pension access and dismissal. The officer found no evidence of Sunday work, no wages were payable during the relevant period and no material change to the worker’s written terms. The industrial relations complaint about workplace procedures failed because the worker had not fully used internal procedures. The merits were not decided on the time-barred complaints.
