The Labour Court upheld a recommendation on how Pwa International Limited’s agreement with the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union applied a three-minute clock-in grace period. Its decision was dated 29 September 2000. The Court said the grace period applied only to disciplinary records; other consequences of lateness continued. The company’s interpretation allowed up to 12 such late arrivals without affecting the maximum year-end bonus.
