The WRC found it had no jurisdiction to hear Bertrand Lacour’s unfair dismissal claim against Qbiqube (Ireland) Limited. The officer found that when the agreement ended in June 2020, Lacour was providing services through Lynx 8 Limited rather than working under a contract of service. The decision, dated 5 June 2024, was made by WRC Adjudication Officer Breiffni O'Neill. Lacour said his work continued much as before after his employment contract was replaced by a services agreement. The respondent said his employment had ended in March 2019 and later contracted with his company. The merits were not decided.
